If you happen to peruse the Religion or the Christianity section at Barnes 'n Noble anytime soon you will probably see on prominent display books by a man named Bart Ehrman. Ehrman is a textual critic, which means that he specializes in studying the the transmission of ancient texts. In his case, he focuses upon the New Testament. Recently, however, he has ventured outside of his area of expertise to attack Christianity and and New Testament accounts of the life of Jesus and the early church.
This is relevant for all of us because these books are written on the popular level. That means that as you attempt to share the Gospel with your co-workers and family members, you will likely hear objections to Christianity taken from Ehrman's work.
