The First Baptist Church family is committed to reaching others in our community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. In Addition to asking our members to witness and invite friends and family to church services, we also have begun a strategy of outreach entitled GROW, which is an acronym for "God Rewards Our Work."  GROW is a church-wide effort to reach others through prayer, personal visitation, letter-writing, phone calls, and other forms of ministry.

Members willing to participate are assigned membership of a GROW team. Currently, we have four GROW teams, each of which work an assigned Wednesday night during any given month.  Team "G" works the first Wednesday of the month, team "R" takes the second Wednesday of the month, and so on.

The benefits of this strategy are obvious. No one is asked to attend visitation every single week. Instead, a member works with his or her team one night per month. The benefit for the church is we have teams working each week. 

Since starting GROW we have seen a dramatic awareness of the importance of personal evangelism and witnessing. The GROW Ministry offers opportunities for all to serve.
