First Baptist Dayton is a conservative, bible-believing Church under the Southern Baptist Convention  (SBC) and the Southern Baptist of Texas (SBTC) umbrellas. We are an autonomous Church that ministers jointly with other SBC Churches through the Cooperative Giving Program to support missions locally, statewide, nationally, and globally. Here at FBC we espouse the Biblical teaching to make disciples of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). The Church encourages all members to participate in three sequential steps for spiritual growth: Love God through worship, Love Others through Sunday school and small groups and activities that build relationships, and Serve Both God and others through active participation in a ministry. Moving through this process requires increasing levels of commitment, but will produce abundant fruit and fulfillment for a true disciple of Jesus.
