E.Dale Hill – Senior Pastor
Pastor E. Dale has the great privilege of leadership, preaching, and caring for the congregation of First Baptist Church. When he is not cheering for the Baylor Bears, he plays with his five wonderful grandchildren.
Dale was introduced to Jesus by a high school friend and his call to ministry was confirmed in a dream while working at Glorieta Conference Center in Glorieta, New Mexico in the summer of 1970.
John Armitage – Worship Pastor
John enjoys seeing peoples lives transformed by God. He loves fresh water fishing and noodling (fishing with his hands) and going to Houston Rockets or Astros game from time to time.
John evaluates and keeps up with the ever changing church culture. Much of his evaluation comes from spending time with people inside and outside church plus throw in some worship conferences, books, prayer, and spending time with God on a regular basis.
Howie Howeth – Pastor of Families
Howie enjoys investing in each Christian life with no known boundaries. His favorite thing to do is to spend time with his family and extended family (church family).
Howie came to know Christ at Falls Creek Baptist Encampment in the 7th grade and his call to ministry came because of the feeling for students to know Christ.
Dean Parmley – Senior Adult Pastor
God has placed me here at First Baptist Church, Dayton. My lovely wife Jo Ann and I have been married for 56 years. My wife is my soul-mate; throughout our marriage she has always been by my side. We have had 2 kids, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Our time mostly consists of ministry and playing with the great-grand-kids. They are our life.
Linda Ashby – Director of Preschool Ministries and Veritas Christian School
Linda is dedicated to serve, minister, and lead. Linda and her husband, Mark, have been members of First Baptist Dayton for 30 years. Their four sons grew up going to FBC and were all baptized here. Linda loves her “job” and getting to know all the families that come to the preschool department looking for childcare and preschool classes.
At the age of 7, Linda remembers the choir singing “Softly & Tenderly” and answering God’s call by opening her heart to Jesus. She loves playing with her children and grandchildren at home and enjoys her time with the preschoolers and teachers during the week.
Mandy Hueske – Office Manager
Mandy is the pastor’s right-hand and loves the Christian atmosphere. She loves to spend time with her family while going to the beach or eating at the Spot.
Mandy came to know Jesus during her freshman year of High School at Calvary Baptist in Dayton.
Michelle Day – Financial Secretary
Michelle is in charge of all the church related finances. Her favorite things to do are hang out with her husband – her best friend – and enjoy Tex-Mex with her family.
When Michelle was 18, she was unsure of her salvation so she walked the aisle and grabbed her pastor’s hand. She was saved at the church where she grew up, Trinity Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX.
Vicky Mitschke – Ministry Assistant
Vicky welcomes the guest and staff of FBC Dayton with a smile and happiness. She loves going to the beach, fighting the waves, relaxing in the sun, and eating at a great restaurant.
When Vicky was 16, she was struggling with what God was telling her to do. One evening, while driving home from Wednesday night CHAT, she felt an overwhelming emotion coming all over her and she knew that God was calling her to work for him.
